Six in the morning is such a quiet time in the city. I went out this morning, looking for simple expressions of humanity and beauty.

Another early bird, scooting down Main Street…

I wandered around the edges of downtown until I found this bit of playfulness…

Are they courting quietly?

What made these marks on the bark? Was it a critter, or just the tree stretching?

Sometimes, I imagine there is a snake easing its way through the Park. I say, “Good morning, Snake,” and keep my distance.
Thanks for joining me!
I hope you’ll join me again for my morning glimpses. I promise to fill them with beauty and to keep the narrative blessedly short.
Until the next time…
Grace and peace to you,
Art Mills
