YESTERDAY in DOWNTOWN CORVALLIS

In downtown Corvallis, Oregon, the U.S. Post Office resides on land where the Willamette River flows nearby.  By the entrance you see a 1986 postage stamp commemorating the 1886 raising of the Statue of Liberty in New York City.

“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”   (Emma Lazarus, “The New Colossus,” inscribed in a plaque at the base of the statue)

A Visitor…

“Who is she?”  “I don’t know…  Must be a stranger. She’s holding a child.”

                  “May we stay?”

“Yes, you are both welcome to stay here!”

Her Companion

“Can I stay too?”

                  “Of course, yes!”

Time Is Always With Us…

Here We Are Again!

  1. Good Morning, Art and Thea. 2026 starts with such uncertainty. Will a domino effect start on the Venezuela attack? Stay well, R
