Strolling on Campus

I set out this morning for a walk on the Southern Oregon University campus… Like other universities, the campus is quiet, with students and faculty working at home and online.

The first thing I saw were the bike racks waiting for the students…  What’s waiting for us when we return to “normal?”

Recycling bins were shouting out, “We’re ready!”

There’s so much outdoor artwork on campus.  It surprises you at every turn…

A shimmering sculpture reflecting layers of reality…

Whoa!   A salmon fights its way up the cascading waters, persistent in the difficult journey.

Maybe the pace of a sun dial is is just what we need for telling time in our “captivity…”

A passer-by heads toward the edge of campus…

In a few moments, I’ll be on my way as well.  What lies ahead?

Thanks for joining me on my walks!

I hope you’ll join me again for my morning glimpses.  I promise to fill them with beauty and to keep the narrative blessedly short.

Until the next time…

Grace and peace to you,

Art Mills

    1. Hi Tim… Yes, this was my first of many ventures outside of the immediate down town! There are so many opportunities… Glad you enjoyed it.

    1. Hi Carol… Neither did I have any clue of the extent of public art out there. I just might take another early morning stroll thru the campus with my trusty Canon SLR in hand! Thanks! Art
