I’ve spent the past few days this week, continuing to stroll on the campus of Southern Oregon University. There is something about the beauty and the serenity of a place committed to learning that draws me to it.
To my surprise… this was my first glimpse this morning…

An Extra-Terrestrial greeting the artwork out front of the Theater?

R2D2’s cousin is standing at the ready…

Here’s what we long for in the silence…

Here’s what we require in the cacophony…

A place to sit… Where would your thoughts take you?

A place to play… Do we see all the places to play?

In our enforced separation, still we are together…
Thanks for joining me on my walks!
I hope you’ll join me again for my morning glimpses. I promise to fill them with beauty and to keep the narrative blessedly short.
Until the next time…
Grace and peace to you,
Art Mills
Your last image could be of a scene from a millennium ago. Striking!

Thanks Carol! It is a haunting image is it not? The sculpture setting was created by students a few years ago…

Lovely, Art! Thanks so much for leading us on tours around your beautiful town and providing colorful and appropriate comments about what we’re being shown. We’re delighted to revisit through your lens Ashland’s environment, and through your comments your observations. I look forward to seeing more. Sallyanne

I am loving your pictures and thoughts. IN the last shot, “she” looks like “she” has a book under the arm – my kind of sculpture! Thanks !

Melissa, thanks! I think it fitting that “she” has a book under her arm… it was done by students. : )
