Walking thru Reopening

Saturday morning, I started walking at 6:30, before many people were out and about. I wanted to see the town early on the second day of our Governor-approved reopening…

The first thing I saw was this out-of-use water fountain… Is it a new relic of the past? How many more such relics will there be?

These old bricks are waiting, ready for something new…

I hadn’t planned to take a photo of a plant this morning, but this one grabbed me…

New stairs look poised to usher their people on their way!

Even in turmoil, a mother and child find comfort…

I walked right by, but that leaf beckoned me back to record it’s perfect placement…

A blackbird followed me with great persistence. Finally, I turned to watch, as it perched triumphantly on a sign post. It had captured me…

A checkerboard panoply pulled me across the street…

Not paying attention at all, I was startled by this giant rooster!

Two sentinels greeted me as I neared the end of my walk…

My favorite bakery – carefully open for business again… Yummm…

And at the very end of my walk…

Ashland’s own “Prairie House.” A student of Frank Lloyd Wright has done it perfectly…

That was my morning walk, longer than usual, with a few more pictures. I hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks for joining me!

I hope you’ll join me again for my morning glimpses.  I promise to fill them with beauty and to keep the narrative blessedly short.

Until the next time…

Grace and peace to you,

Art Mills

    1. I had great fun yesterday! Wasn’t sure what I would find, but it is always there… For me, it’s all about being patient enough to feel the presence of something.

  1. Hi Art,
Lovely as always. Perhaps we might consider reconvening in the reasonably near future at our favorite coffee spot. Be well my friend.
