Sometimes I find myself filled with questions as I walk. It isn’t that I start out with questions. Rather, they arise as I look at the subjects of my pictures.

A corner creates a beautiful scene out of the most ordinary task of supporting a roof and draining rainwater from it, an example of form following function. Did the architect consider its simple beauty in the context of nearby Ashland Creek and its riparian splendor?

The act of placing a memorial bench is a sacred one… What does this bench say about the one who is memorialized? And, what does it say about the one who is remembering?

Walking out in Lassen Volcanic National Park, I came upon stairs so carefully placed. There was a path right next to them. What level of thoughtfulness leads one to build, stone by stone, an easier way down?

For those who are patient, this idyllic scene will burst into life as a German Brown or a Rainbow springs out of the water, catching an insect in mid-air. How many such scenes do we pass, seeing just the first beauty, but missing the underlying reality?
Take a walk peacefully, waiting for the questions that arise in the things you see…
Thanks for joining me!
I hope you’ll join me again for my morning glimpses. I promise to fill them with beauty and to keep the narrative blessedly short.
Until the next time…
Grace and peace to you,

Hi Cristina… Glad you enjoy it! I’m planning another photo walk through the campus to capture some images that I passed by earlier.
