A Quiet Place

This morning, I’m looking for a quiet place…

A place where all the noise is gone.

  Politicians are rendered speechless…

Liars are silenced…

   Bearers of news are diverted…

  Proponents of solutions are deferred…

  Purveyors of goods are absented…

  Power tools are disconnected…

  Electronic pulses are hushed…

  Fear is banished…

This morning, I’m looking for a quiet place…

A place where I can listen.

To the music of the universe…

To the creation, crying out loud…

To goodness that is in each one of us…

To diversity that gives us strength…

To love that liberates us from hatred…

  To hope that transcends despair

This morning, I’m looking for my quiet place.

I hope you look for yours as well.

Thanks for joining me again for my morning glimpses.  I promise to fill them with beauty and to keep the narrative blessedly short.

Until the next time…

Grace, peace, and love to you,

Art Mills

  1. Dear Art, Thanks so much for your new post. I love it! With my new doggie, I do get out of the house fairly early in the morning. We are living in such uncertain times…thanks for the positivity. Peace, Barbara
