This week, I took a walk around downtown Corvallis. It’s easy to see the core of the city in a process of transition.
**********

There is exquisite architectural detail in some of the old buildings.
**********

I know this building is still in use, but do people actually use the fire escapes? Does anyone sit outside an open window, singing on a warm evening?
**********

Just in case you missed it, the Taco Vino mural beckons you into their restaurant where a delightful mixture of authentic food, ambiance, and beverage awaits.
**********

What does this picture of the past say about the vision for tomorrow?
**********

“Psst! You’ve been around here a long time… What do think about the future of downtown?”
“Me? I’m a down to earth guy… I just love to see people enjoying the downtown streets!”
**********
That was my wandering through our downtown…
May you be blessed by surprise encounters with places of reflection…
We’ll see you next Sunday!
Grace and peace to you,
Art Mills, photographer and writer, and Thea Mills, editor.
